I saw a sign..

I was in San Diego last weekend for my cousins wedding. On our way back to the house from the photo shoot I saw a sign that read, "Obama, San Diego needs jobs, not speeches."

Now, I understand the frustration that may arise with people who believe Obama is seemingly ALL speeches. However, it does take a certain amount of work (or persuasion) to get people on board for an idea, bill, or initiating any type of reform -- ultimately those people who need persuading are the people whose signature co-signing the document will more likely than not be the difference in getting approval for the much needed funding to put the plans into action.

Obama is one man, he isn't the end all say all. We must take initiative in our communities, we must continue with the grassroots movement started when we elected Obama into office. No we must stand with him if we want our voices heard -- be it health care reform, immigration reform, or addressing the unemployment rates.

For the first time in a long time, the ball is our court. Its our time to step up and be the difference we want to see in our nation, our communities, and even more importantly...our lives.
